Historic notes : Kitsuné

- means « fox » in Japanese.

– was founded in 2001

– is a company somewhat based in Paris and a bit in London.

– is comprised of an architect, graphic artists (mercenaries for Martin Margiela, Hussein Chalayan, Air, The Cardigans, London’s Royal College Of Art), an a music art-director (Daft P)

– is carried by Masaya Kuroki, Patrick Lacey, Gildas Loaec, Benjamin Reichen, Kajsa Stahl and Maki Suzuki – in no particular order.

–is on the way to  release their sixth (after kitsuné love,Midnight,X,Maison) – and favourite  compilation: kitsuné maison III (early december with tons of exclusive and rare tracks )

– has made textile collaborations with Bali Barret, Rico, Gaspard Yurkievich, The Rapture, Air, Daft Punk, colette, APC, United Arrows, Bonjour Records (Tokyo),Loopwheeler,New Balance,Yoshida Kaban

-put their first best off compilation kitsuné Fur with Sony Japan october 2005.

– has thrown parties in Paris, Tokyo, Kyoto,Ghent, Osaka,Stockholm, London, Brussels, Modena, well... eveywhere. Got a monthly in Paris at le ParisParis and Threemonthly party in Tokyo at Club Air 

-are doing exhibitions,talks Singapour,  Venice,Oslo.Tokyo,London  etc;

-got now their own store in Palais Royal 1 rue thérèse 75001 only by appointment rendezvous@kitsune.fr and got more than 30 retailers for their clothes around the world including Barneys NY,colette Paris, Isetan Tokyo,Dover Street Market London 

-Klaxons,Wolfmother,Digitalism, Captain Comatose, Black Strobe, Manhead, Freeform five, Zongamin, Cosmo Vitelli ,Gonzales,Man with Guitar,Tom Vek, VHS or Beta,Volga Select,Simian Mobile Disco,Chikinki,Joakim,Hot Chip etc .. all 've been part of a kitsuné project.
